After leaving Wall, we journeyed westward, our sights set on the next exciting stop: the iconic Mount Rushmore, where the monumental sculptures of four U.S. presidents await, etched into the towering granite face of the Black Hills.

Next, we made our way to Wind Cave National Park, home to one of the longest and most intricate cave systems in the world. Unfortunately, we arrived quite late, and as a result, we couldn’t take the official cave tour. However, the ranger was incredibly kind and allowed us a special glimpse of the original entrance to Wind Cave, giving us a rare opportunity to experience the site up close, even if only for a brief moment.
