Today we left Utah for California. We drove through Nevada but decided to skip Las Vegas since we’ve been there before and there wasn’t anything we wanted to see again. So we drove directly to Death Valley National Park.
It was definitely the hottest day during the trip, with temperature reaching 120 degrees Fahrenheit. When we were outside, it was an eerie feeling as there was no sound whatsoever. There was no one around and no cell service the whole time we were in the area, except while in Visitor Center.
Even though it was mostly flat and desert, there was a special beauty to this place that couldn’t be seen through photos. You just had to be there to experience it.
